Creating Housing Abundance - AEI Housing Center
The American Enterprise Institute Housing Center will host a convening to share insights on using light-touch density (LTD), also known as middle housing, to craft solutions to America’s growing housing supply crisis. Register for free here.
The convenings will have two goals:
Demonstrate how the AEI Housing Center’s vast trove of free data can be used to promote abundant and sustainable housing growth. This includes reviewing case studies demonstrating LTD's opportunities and providing a road map for developers, advocates, and policymakers moving forward.
Make the case to localities throughout California and Colorado that LTD, walkable oriented development, and Live Local Urban Villages can increase local revenues, improve living standards, lower property tax rates, keep essential workers living in local housing they can afford, and minimize pushback from residents who are resistant to change.
